SB19 to Collab with Bruno Mars?

by Athena Yap

MANILA, Philippines – P-Pop group SB19 hopes to collaborate with the Fil-Am Hollywood singer Bruno Mars.

This was SB19’s answer when asked about who they want to collaborate with among the international artists in the press-conference of KUMU app in the US.

“I think it will be something different for Bruno Mars to collaborate with a boy group. Something he has never done… so I challenge… If you’re watching, Bruno,” Pablo said.

“Mr. Bruno Mars if you’re watching I’m leaving the door open,” Stell added.

Who is SB19?
They are Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, who made a record to enter three Billboard charts early in their career.

The “Mapa” and “WYAT ” hitmaker boy-band is currently in the United States for their “WYAT (Where You AT)” world tour. They held their concert in the Palladium Times Square in New York last November 5.

A’tins Reaction
Fans expressed their excitement after the five-member group expressed their desire to share a stage with Bruno Mars.

Pablo and Stell’s comments became viral on Twitterverse with over 12 thousand tweets.

SB19 often includes in their repertoire of songs during concerts or online gigs the hit songs of Bruno Mars “Just The Way You Are” and “Finesse.”

This triggered a number of A’tins to request a collaboration between SB19 and Bruno Mars.

Past SB19 Collab
The all-Filipino boy band had earlier collaborated with Asia’s SongBird, Regine Velasquez during ABS-CBNs’ noontime variety show “Asap.”

They also partnered with Ben & Ben, a two-piece folk/pop rock band known for hit songs “Pagtingin” and “Leaves.”

GenZ Youtuber-Tiktoker Niana Guerrero and comedian vlogger MimiYuuuh also have made a vlog with SB19.

Past Bruno Mars Collab
Bruno Mars had previously collaborated with various co-hollywood stars like Adele, Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Mark Ronson, Snoop Dogg and Major Lazer.

SB19 Next Stop
SB19 is set to perform this Saturday, November 12 at Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles and their last stop for the WYAT world tour is on November 17 at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore.
