RA Spotlight

SPOTLIGHT: Meet the new rookie group 6ENSE

Always one! We are 6ENSE!

AS you bear many challenges in life, you become stronger and stronger as a group. This is the case for the eight-member group 6ENSE, the newest addition to the ever-expanding P-pop landscape.

Debuted last April under BLVCK Entertainment, the octet consists of Wiji, Lee, Sevi, Asa, Clyn, Jai, Drew, and Pen

Prior to their official debut, 6ENSE was first introduced to the public as a six-member group in 2022 under their former label BC Entertainment.

In December of the same year, the group held their first-ever fan meet event and released their first pre-debut single, “6oodBoy.” The second pre-debut single, “Hindi Na,” was released two months later.

Supposed to debut last year, the group left their former agency due to mistreatment and contract exploitation. The group, however, held on to their dreams and decided to continue as an eight-member P-pop group.

According to the group, leader Wiji came up with the group name 6ENSE and the fandom name ESENSE

The number ‘6’ refers to the “six degrees of separation,” an idea that everyone in the world is connected by an average of six people, which the group firmly believes in.

This is also the reason why their group tagline is “always one” to imply that the members are closely connected.

While a person can only have five bodily senses, a ‘sixth sense’ would arise once they watch the group perform on stage. This sixth ‘sense’ refers to the group themselves.

After two years of strict training, the group finally debuted last April 5 with the release of their debut single, “H.U.G.” (Hate You Give).

The single, penned solely by Wiji, tackles the negative consequences of ‘hate culture’ that is now prevalent on social media.

After two years of overcoming hurdles together in pursuit of their dreams, the greatest lesson that the group learned is to trust each other.

6ENSE recently performed in Leyte as part of the group’s promotion of their debut single. They are also set to perform in Baguio, Isabela, La Union, and Ilocos Norte.

The group also revealed that they are currently working on a few singles, which they hope to release this year. They also hope to release the group’s first-ever album next year.

With their utmost dedication to bringing fresh and new tunes to the local music, 6ENSE is seeking to redefine the P-pop landscape. Indeed, a new powerhouse group is starting to emerge.
