Preview: PBA Commisioner’s cup finals game 2

by Ron Poblete

Something’s got to give. Will Barangay Ginebra San Miguel continue their matchup dominance against the Bay Area Dragons or will the Dragons follow a trend of not losing two games in a row during the season? Expect answers as the local favorites battle it out again against the foreign visitors.

If the Dragons are to bounce back from a total Christmas day obliteration from the Gins and become the first foreign team to win the tournament in 22 years, they will have to rediscover their high scoring form. They were limited to a conference low 81 points in game one of the final. They have to find a way to get prolific scorer Andrew Nicholson involved.

Ginebra will hope for a repeat performance from local veteran player LA Tenorio who scored 22 points and dictated proceedings the last game. They will bank on Justin Brownlee to continue his best import worthy performance to lead a well balanced team.

We will find out in game two of the PBA Commissioner’s cup as it resumes 5pm today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
