Paris Hilton welcomes motherhood

by Athena Yap

A DREAM came true!

Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton surprised the world when she announced that she has finally welcomed her first child with husband Carter Reum.

She shared the news with her Instagram followers on Wednesday, January 25, Philippine time.

The 41-year-old new mom showed a glimpse of her child by sharing a photo of her baby’s hand grasping her chrome-white painted thumb.

You are already loved beyond words,” Paris wrote in her caption, declaring her unwavering love for her newborn baby.

Friends and fans were obviously thrilled, showering the comments section with congratulations and good wishes for Paris and the baby.

Paris’ Hollywood besties expressed their excitement over her motherhood.

“Congratulations sis!” Demi Lovato wrote in her comment.

Lindsay Lohan and Naomi Campbell sent congratulatory messages as well.

“Congratulations to you both, biggest blessing,” Campbell said.

Surrogate baby

Paris’ post did not reveal the gender of her baby, but People magazine reported that she had a baby boy via surrogate.

The “Stars Are Blind” hitmaker has not announced the name of the baby yet.

Baby wish

Paris, who also became known as a reality TV star, earlier told E! News that having a child is “definitely a top priority.”

In February 2021, Carter surprised Paris with a joint birthday vacation at a private island and popped the question there.

Eight months later, the couple enjoyed their bachelorette and bachelor parties together in Las Vegas with an Alice in Wonderland themed party.

They were supposed to get married in church but the model changed the location a day before the wedding day.

They instead had a lavish three-day ceremony at her late grandfather Barron Hilton’s Bel-Air estate in November 2021, and enjoyed a seven-week honeymoon in a luxury resort in the Maldives.

Paris and the Philippines

The socialite model visited the Philippines before and had expressed her appreciation for the country and for Filipinos.

In August 2011, she stayed in the Philippines for five days to discuss her collaboration with a local real-estate company.

Three years later, the model came back for the opening of the urban beach club which she designed.
