Paolo Contis congratulates Yen Santos on Urian win ‘as a friend’

by Izel Abanilla

ACTOR Paolo Contis did not hold himself back in going public about how he feels over rumored girlfriend Yen Santos’ Urian win.

“Congratulations Lilieyen Santos. I am sooooooo proud of you! Very well deserved!! See you in a while,” Contis said in a Facebook post that seems to have been deleted. He accompanied his post with a photo of Santos, side by side with veteran actor John Arcilla as she held her trophy.

Santos bagged the Best Actress award at the 45th Gawad Urian Cine Adarna of the UPFI Film Center at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City last November 17.

She was able to get the nod of members of the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino for her performance in “A faraway land,” the movie that gave birth to the controversy involving her and Contis.

Meanwhile, on her Instagram, Santos posted a solo photo of her still holding her trophy with the caption, “a moment I will treasure for a lifetime.” Noticeably, Contis also liked the post.

The two have consistently made headlines over never ending rumors about their supposed romantic involvement with each other.

In 2021, Baguio City took the spotlight following the controversial getaway of the rumored couple to the summer capital. Contis, however, was quick to dispel stories about them being an item.

In Contis’ clarification, he went up to the city after ex LJ Reyes flew to the US following their separation. Drowned in sadness, he invited Santos to be with him in Baguio “as a friend.”

The tag immediately made rounds online to pick on supposed lovers who are not coming out yet.

Santos will be celebrating her 30th birthday this coming November 30. No admission as to their real score has been heard from the two yet.
