A BRIEF fire occurred at the Xavier School in Barangay Greenhills, San Juan City, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said on Wednesday.
According to the BFP, the fire started at 1148 a.m., and was declared fire out by 12:34 nn.
A total of four firetrucks responded to the scene.
There were no recorded fatalities or injuries.
Fire investigators are still determining the cause of the fire.
In a separate advisory, the school said that as the grade school graduation ended at around 11:45 am, smoke was observed coming out of the grade school library.
“Students, guests, and school employees were immediately evacuated to the football field and sports center. Numerous fire responders were onsite within minutes and the fire was contained in about half an hour. There is damage to property, but thankfully no one was hurt. The source of the fire has not yet been determined,” they added.
Also, the school said that Grade 12 activities will continue in unaffected parts of the campus.
