Work in gov’t office and classes suspended anew in NCR, Reg. 3, 4A

WORK in government and classes were suspended anew on July 25, 2024, as it covers all levels in Regions 3, 4A and National Capital Region.

This is still due to the severe flooding brought about by the super typhoon Carina and southwest monsoon.

According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, the July 25 work suspension likewise be used for the aid in the rescue, recovery, relief and rehabilitation efforts being done by the government as well as the private sector.

But Bersamin clarified that the government agencies who have functions that involve the delivery of basic and health services, as well as the preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue to work and render operations and necessary services.

Bersamin also said that the suspension of work for private companies and offices, is being left to the discretion of their respective heads.

The Metro Manila Council has placed the NCR under a state of calamity amid the  flooding. 

The waters even reached the North Luzon Express and Skyway ramps, making it impassable.
