History Made: John Cena Wins Record 17th Title at WrestleMania 41

THE time has come for John Cena to break the record for the most WWE titles in history, defeating Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41 on the second night for the Undisputed WWE Championship. 

Well, it appears that bad man Cena was able to get away with one of the baddest moments in WWE history, topping off the second night of WrestleMania 41 with history written under his name. 

In front of an energized arena, the event finished with The Champ finally dethroning The American Nightmare in his final appearance on professional wrestling’s largest stage.

Champ Once More

Right when the bell rang to begin Sunday’s major event, the two competitors drank in the excitement. At the start of the encounter, they had several tie-ups before Cena finally got Rhodes in a headlock. 

Moments later, the referee was thrown down as Rhodes attempted to move out of the way. He then hits Cena with the Cross Rhodes, but the pin is unsuccessful since the referee is out. 

Travis Scott’s “Fein” blasted through the stadium speakers, as the rapper emerged off the stage. He came down and confronted Cena in the ring, but Rhodes sensed an opportunity and capitalized.

He nailed Cena with a Cody Cutter and attempted a pin, but Scott dragged the referee out. Rhodes and Scott came face to face, and Scott tried to attack him, but Rhodes stopped him and delivered another Cross Rhodes. 

However, Rhodes took a turn for the worse when he turned his back on Cena, who was preparing to attack him with the title. Rhodes halted it and threatened to strike him with the title, but he paused.

The Champ, who was the bad guy in the ring, then did the low blow and hit him with the title, dragging the referee back into the ring, and the pin worked to secure the record-breaking title.

In the other Night 2 contests, Iyo Sky defended her Women’s World Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair, while Dominik Mysterio won his first Intercontinental Championship in the Fatal 4-Way. 

The highlight of Night 1 was Seth Rollins’ thrilling Triple Threat Match victory against CM Punk and Roman Reigns. Jey Uso also electrified the fans when he defeated Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. 

Meanwhile, Tiffany Stratton defeated Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women’s Championship, Jacob Fatu defeated LA Knight for the United States Championship, and The New Day beat The War Raiders for the World Tag Team Championship.
