Power interruptions in Caloocan, Quezon City, and Batangas City

POWER distributor Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced power interruptions in several areas in Bagong Barrio in Caloocan City, Balong Bato in Quezon City, and Batangas City will be experiencing power service interruptions on June 7 to 9, 2024

This is due to the scheduled maintenance activities.

According to their advisory, they will be replacing a hazardous pole and will also upgrade their facilities along Quirino Highway in Bgy. Balong Bato, Quezon City from June 7 to 8.

Among those who will be affected between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., Friday, June 7, and  between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m., Saturday, June 8 include: Portion of Quirino Highway from North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) East Service Road to and including Teacher’s BLISS Condominium II; and Salazar Drive in Barangay Balong Bato; Portion of North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) East Service Road from Quirino Highway to and including Elon – Elon, Malolos, Dinalaga, Tieremas, Pita, Tangke, A. Concepcion, Ramelon, Dose 36 and Sampaguita Streets in East Bagong Barrio, Barangay Bagong Barrio

Also affected is a portion of Quirino Highway from Ka Andres Memorial Chapel to and including Manotok Subdivision, St. Louis Compound Subdivision, Everwealth Compound and Vic-Marie Subdivision; Century Container Corp., Eini Trading Phils., Goodyear Steel Pipe, Hopewell Multipack Industrial Corp., McMagik Corp., Copengco Enterprises, TSC Empireplas, Jollibee, Ever Plus Supermarket and Philippine Spring Bed in Barangay Baesa and Balong Bato; portion of Howmart Road from Quirino Highway to near Epifanio Delos Santos Ave. (EDSA) including F. Carlos St.; Deeco Paper Products, Steelasia Mfg., Columbia Wire & Cable Corp., Super Dough Food Corp., Sysco Paper Corp., Viva Lumber and Care 1st Corp. in Barangay Balong Bato and Apolonio Samson; portion of Baesa Road from Quirino Highway to near Jordan Ville Homes including Reliable Industries, Francisco College and Grand Engineering & Foundry Corp. in Barangay Baesa; and along Leland Drive from Quirino Highway to and including Eternal Gardens Memorial Park and Paperland; College View, MIT, Letran, Sam Beda College and Phil. Union College Streets in Barangay Balong Bato.

Meanwhile, those affected between 11 pm, Friday, June 7, and 5 a.m., Saturday, June 8, include a portion of Quirino Highway from Maximina Street to near Salazar Drive including United Metal Smelting & Mfg. and Balumbato Elementary School; S. Gonzales Drive and Caiña Drive in Barangay Balong Bato.

Likewise Meralco said that they will also be conducting line reconstruction works along C. Tirona Street in Batangas City, Batangas Province from June 8 to 9, between 11 p.m., Saturday, June 8, and 3 a.m., Sunday, June 9 are: portion of P. Burgos Street from Vergara Street to and including M. H. Del Pilar, J. Pastor, Noble, D. Silang, C. Tirona, Evangelista and P. Panganiban Sts.; Nuciti Central Mall, Inocencia Romero Dy Bldg., Dayton Hotel, Chinabank, BDO, Jollibee, Max’s Restaurant, Heroco Marketing, BPI, PNB, KFC, Bank of Commerce, Antonio A. Pastor Bldg., Metrobank, Batangas City Hall, St. Patrick’s Hospital and Plaza Mabini in Batangas City proper; portion of DJPMM Access Road and Rizal Avenue from Batangas Port Access Road to P. Burgos Street including P. Gomez and P. Zamora Streets; and Citimart Batangas in Batangas City Proper; portion of C. Tirona Street from D. Silang Street to and including P. Herrera, P. Prieto, Lt. Col. Danilo S. Atienza, P. Dandan, P. Canlapan and P. Zamora Streets; Meaco Royal Hotel, Golden Gate Colleges and Bay City Mall in Batangas City Proper; portion of M. H. Del Pilar Street from P. Burgos Street to Lt. Col. Danilo S. Atienza Street including Mountview Park Subdivision; University of Batangas, St. Bridget College and Minor Basilica – Parish of the Immaculate Conception of Mary in Batangas City Proper and a portion of P. Herrera Street from Natividad Street to and including Lyceum of the Phils. University – Batangas Campus, Batangas City Engineer’s Office and TESDA in Batangas City Proper.
