Bananas are on display for sale at a fruit and vegetables stall in a market in Salvador, Bahia State, Brazil, on August 26, 2022. A majority of Brazilians will be thinking of their pockets first when casting their vote in the October 2 presidential election. According to a Datafolha poll, the economy will determine the vote of 53 percent of Brazilians choosing between far-right incumbent Jair Bolsonaro and leftist ex-president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. EVER heard of “sha-ging?”
This is hiding illegal drugs inside a banana (saging).
Such modus operandi by drug dealers in Cebu was busted by authorities as a male who was once a Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL) may be back behind bars sooner than expected as he tried to smuggle in shabu inside the Minglanilla BJMP facility by stuffing it inside a banana saging in Filipino, thus the term, “sha-ging.”
The suspect was identified as John Paul Celedoña, 28.
According to the warden of the Minglanilla BJMP Facility, the suspect said that he would be visiting a friend inside the prison.
However, during a search on the items that the suspect brought with him, authorities were able to get a packet of shabu hidden inside one of the bananas.
The suspect is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, who got out after being charged for the same offense.
He refused to give any comment.
