PRIVATE sector employees in the MIMAROPA region will receive an increase in their daily minimum wage effective December 7, 2023.
This brings the daily minimum wage rates to P395 for establishments with 10 or more workers and P369 for establishments with less than 10 workers in all sectors, the National Wages and Productivity Commission said on Wednesday.
The monthly minimum wage of domestic workers (kasambahay) will now be P5,500, following an increase of P1,000.
The new rates were approved by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board in MIMAROPA, which covers the provinces of Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, and Romblon.
