Man in need to go to the CR, arrested

WHEN you gotta go, you gotta go.

Apparently, a 55-year-old man in Antipolo, Rizal couldn’t hold it any longer and pointed a gun at a banana cue vendor along Brgy. Sta. Cruz to be allowed to use the comfort room.

Investigation by police showed that the suspect asked the vendor if he could use the CR because he had to do his business.

But the vendor refused, and the suspect pulled out his gun.

“Yung CR na pag-aari ng vendor ay exclusive para sa kanyang mga kliyente, sa mga bibili. ‘Yun ang pinagsimulan ng kanilang away,” PLt. Divina Rafael, Duty Officer of the Antipolo Police Station said.

“Ayon sa ating biktima, siya ay binaril ng suspek. Swerte ay hindi tinamaan. May nakatawag naman sa tanggapan ng pulisya at nirespondehan,” she added.

The bullet hit the door of the CR.

Police and barangay officials arrived at the scene.

It was not known if he was able to do his business in the CR.

Later, it was revealed that the suspect is a security guard who had too much to drink.

Recovered were his Caliber .22 revolver and five slugs.

“Nang ma-verify, walang papel. Walang lisensya, ‘yan karaniwan (caliber .22) ginagamit pamaril ng isda o ibon pero sa tao ginagamit din ‘yan. Nakakamatay ‘yan,” PLt. Rafael said.

The suspect said he had no intention of killing anybody he only fired because he was angry.

“Nag-CR lang ako sa CR nila. Hindi totoo na binaril ko siya. Ang layo nang mangyari yun. Hindi ko siya tinutukan ng baril. ‘Yun ang totoo,” he said, admitting that he had too much to drink.

“Matagal na ‘yung baril na ‘yun. [Caliber] .22 lang naman ‘yung baril na ‘yun. Dala-dala ko lang ‘yung (baril). Humihingi ako ng sorry sa biktima. Wala akong ano patayin siya. Nandoon siya sa labas, siguro narinig lang niya ‘yung putok na ‘yun kaya siya nataranta,” he said.

Charges of attempted homicide and violation of the Republic Act No. 10591 or Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions Act were slapped against the suspect.
