Weather warning: PAGASA warns of hot days ahead; classes shift to online

THE HEAT is on. Well, back on as state weather forecasters warned that it is going to be a hot day in Metro Manila and several parts of the country. 

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services or PAGASA, today’s heat index or the heat the body can feel will reach up to a scorching 46°C.

This will be felt throughout Metro Manila, according to PAGASA.

It will also be felt at the Clark Airport in Pampanga.

While at the CLSU in Munoz, Nueva Ecija, it measured 45°C.

Classes shift to online due to extreme heat

Meanwhile, the local government of Malabon said they suspended in-person classes for the city’s public and private schools, elementary to high school.

On the other hand, public schools in the cities of Valenzuela and Caloocan will shift to asynchronous classes on Monday.

This covers classes in elementary and high school.

Manila on the other hand suspended afternoon classes at all levels.
