THE number of individuals affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine has reached 2,077,643.
The said numbers represented 431,738 families from 2,124 villages spread across Region 1, 2, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Region 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Caraga, BARMM and CAR.
Majority of the affected people came from the Bicol Region with 1,669,507.
Likewise, the NDRRMC situation report said 7 were reported dead, 4 injured and 7 missing.
More than 1000 houses were damaged – 915 partially and 92 totally.
Some 296 roads and bridges were tallied as not flooded or not passable. Of the said number 44 had subsided.
At least 18 municipalities and cities had declared a state of calamity.
Meanwhile P21,516,422.45 in assistance were provided to affected families.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said that the number coding was suspended on Thursday due to the decision of Malacanang to suspend classes and work in Luzon anew.
On the other hand, the waters at the Marikina River reached 15 meters or the first alarm AT 4:36AM, Thursday due to the sudden strong rainfall. But after the rains ceased the waters gradually subsided.
