POPULAR digital wallet provider GCash on Friday reported that they are having issues with their bank transfer feature via Bancnet.
GCash issued the statement after mounting complaints from users that their recent transactions failed but were debited from their accounts.
“Bank Transfer to GCash will be right back! BancNet is working to restore the service as soon as possible,” GCash posted on its official Facebook page.
“If your bank account was debited, kindly expect your money to be credited to your GCash wallet within 24 to 48 hours,” GCash added.
Earlier in the day, major banks such as BPI, BDO and Landbank announced that their clients are having problems when sending money to their GCash accounts.
BPI for their part said that this due to an issue where it has temporarily disabled GCash as a receiving bank for interbank funds transfers via Instapay on the BPI app and BPI online.
“We will share updates as soon as we receive confirmation that they have resolved the issue,” BPI said.
Likewise BDO had declared that their Send Money to GCash feature is unavailable.
On the other hand, Landbank noted that the fund transfers to GCash via the Landbank mobile app and iAccess are also unavailable.
It will be recalled that the fintech company was also hit by an issue with customers saying they had unauthorized transactions over the weekend.
