BARELY reeling from a road rage that resulted in the death of a motorist after being gunned down, another incident occurred again in the City of Antipolo in the Province of Rizal.
This time it involved a fist-fight between motorists along the Sumulong Highway in Antipolo City, where a motorcycle rider and an e-trike driver almost hit each other while on the road.
The video posted by Henessy Ashley Solomon on her Facebook page and can be seen here, showed how the e-trike driver and the motorist slugged it out at a hot 3 p.m. on Thursday.
It was also shown how the rider tried to pull the other driver towards the road.
But the rider countered and was slammed to a wall as they continued to exchange blows
According to village officials, the fight ensued after the motorcycle accidentally hit the e-trike.
“Inamin naman ng nanuntok na talagang nabigla siya. Sa init daw ng kaniyang ulo, sinuntok niya kaagad ‘yung nakabangga. Kaya pagganti ng ating nakabanga, sinalya siya, napunta roon sa may pader,” Armando Awa-ao of the Barangay Santa Cruz BPSO said.
The two drivers were both taken to the Barangay.
“Medyo kumalma naman po. Bagkos nagkamayan sila, nagkasundo naman. Inamin naman nila na nagkamali,” Awa-ao said.
A previous road rage was also reported in Antipolo City where one motorcycle rider was killed, and three others wounded including the suspect’s relative.
Earlier, Antipolo City Mayor Casimiro “Jun” Ynares III called for calmness during a hot and dry driving season.
Ynares said that nothing can ever be resolved by being hot headed.
