WHILE going to the beach may be a time to party, the local city government of Malay in Aklan said that they are prohibiting the conduct of having loud parties as well as other similar activities on Boracay Island on Good Friday, April 18.
According to the Malay LGU, Mayor Frolibar Bautista had issued Memorandum Order No. 2025-33, which said that there will be no issuance of special permits for parties and/or any activities which carry loud or boisterous music on Good Friday.
It will take effect starting 6 a.m. on April 18, until 6 a.m. on April 19, Black Saturday.
Boracay is a well-known tourist destination during the dry season or “Summer” or the Holy Week as families bond and enjoy the holidays.
The island is also known as a world-famous resort island known for its white beaches and vibrant nightlife.
