FILIPINO gymnast Carlos Yulo captured the first gold for the Philippines at the 2024 Paris Olympics
Yulo was able to net a score of 15.00 for his routine in the men’s artistic gymnastics floor exercises.
The score was enough to catapult the Filipino gymnast to the top and capture the Philippines’ first gold in the 2024 Olympics.
Yulo scored 15.000 to push defending champion Artem Dolgopyat of Israel into the silver medal position with 14.966. Britain’s Jake Jarman scored 14.933 to take bronze at Bercy Arena.
Yulo is the second Filipino to capture gold after Hidilyn Diaz in the Taiwan Olympics.
