SEVERAL aftershocks hit Dalupiri Island in Calayan, Cagayan, following a magnitude 6.3 earthquake on Tuesday evening that was felt in parts of northern Luzon.
The epicenter of the tectonic earthquake, which occurred at 7:03 p.m. at a depth of 41 kilometers, was located 22 kilometers northeast of Dalupiri Island.

Meanwhile, at least 99 aftershocks were recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) as of 8 a.m. on Wednesday, with magnitudes ranging from 1.8 to 3.7.
According to the Office of Civil Defense, five people were reportedly hurt, but there was no damage to the infrastructure, and there were no displaced persons.
