AT LEAST 16 people died due to the effects of the shear line in Davao Region and Caraga, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The NDRRMC stated in a report released on Tuesday that six fatalities were still being validated while 10 were confirmed dead.
Five people sustained injuries.
The bad weather affected 173,875 families, or 768,387 individuals. Of this number, 19,406 people have been displaced.
The NDRRMC also recorded 198 flooded areas, 569 damaged houses, and 78 landslide incidents.
Damage estimates for agriculture and infrastructure are P78.11 million and P27.05 million, respectively.
Assistance valued at approximately P62.57 million has been given to the impacted residents.
