Marcos adds more holidays in 2023, retains EDSA day

by Jericho Zafra

PLAN out your work leaves and long weekends ahead as President Marcos Jr. released the amended list of regular, special holidays for 2023.

The Office of the Press Secretary released a copy of the November 11-signed proclamation on Wednesday.

Signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and President Marocs Jr., the additional holidays are meant to “encourage domestic travel and increase tourism expenditures in the country.”

Proclamation No. 90, which amends Proclamation No. 42, designates January 2, 2023, as a special non-working day while April 10 and November 27, 2023, are now regular holidays according to the proclamation.
