She followed the suggestion of lawyer Gideon Peña which he shared in early December.

“Sana ang iparaffle sa mga Christmas party ay additional paid leaves. Aanhin mo naman kasi ang malaking tv kung lagi ka namang nasa opisina,” Pena wrote on his Facebook wall.

Usually, companies give away home appliances, gadgets, or cash as major prizes in their Christmas party raffle draws. Rarely do companies offer extra rest or vacation days as prizes.

Netizens commended Cabrera for her decision to give away additional vacation days.

Others wished that their companies would consider paid leaves as a prize as well.

“Yung pinag iisipan yung binibigay sa mga empleyado. Swerte niyo sa boss niyo,” said one Tiktok user.

“This is the new normal na para sa companies who value and appreciate their employees who value and appreciate their employees. Best boss you’ll ever have, guys!” another user commented.

Cabrera joined the beauty business in 2013. She started with selling soap scraps before establishing her makeup and skincare line Colourette and Fresh Formula in 2015.

Colourette specializes in affordable multi-use makeup, and markets itself as a makeup brand for everyone.
