Vice President Sara Duterte went viral with her trendy coachella-inspired cropped top outfit that stirred Pinoy wit, hence the trending #CorruptTop.
VP Duterte killed the party theme with a nude skin tone top, floral headdress and gladiator shades.
In the video uploaded by comedienne Giselle Sanchez on Instagram, the actress was shown doing her usual comical act as a prelude to Duterte’s rocker debut. The actress hosted the Christmas party of the Office of the Vice President.
“Vp @indaysaraduterte wears a skintone inner garment over her “stay weird” crop top still following the dress code guidelines of public servants attending events,” said Sanchez.
“But does everybody agree with me that she’s the coolest and most astig when it comes to committing to a #coachellathemed party! For you to understand this parody please watch @wednesdaynetflix in @netflix,” she said.
The post earned various reactions from the netizens mostly praising Duterte for gamely going along with themes of festivities such as this one.
Among those who reacted was actress Aiko Melendez who supported the tandem of the Vice President and now President Bongbong Marcos.
Just like Melendez, Sanchez too is a proud supporter of the tandem and was among the celebrities usually seen during sorties last elections.
The comedian drew flak when she portrayed the late former President Corazon Aquino in the controversial film “Maid in Malacañang.”
Mon Tulfo reacts
Not everyone, however, was happy with Duterte’s show off.
Veteran broadcast journalist Ramon Tulfo, one of the three famous Tulfo brothers slammed the Vice President for supposedly compromising the second highest position in the country just to ride along event themes such as this.
“Sara should exercise a modicum of decorum befitting her position,” he stressed.
Tulfo’s post earned mixed reactions, some agreed while some defended the Vice President.
VP Sara: ‘No comment’
Republic Asia tried to get the side of the Vice President regarding the issues about her outfit and she only had this to say, “No comment.”
