Kris Aquino breaks socmed hiatus: ‘Tuloy ang laban, bawal sumuko’

by Izel Abanilla

MANILA, Philippines – QUEEN of All Media Kris Aquino breaks social media hiatus and stands firm that her fight to recuperation remains steadfast.

She’s back, saying her thoughts on Instagram.

“Tuloy ang laban, bawal sumuko: tinitiis ‘yung matinding sakit (sagad sa buto) while allergic to all pain relievers; the constant fatigue; awful sense of balance, non-stop dry cough and shortness of breath (I’m so immunocompromised – since June I’ve NEVER been to a restaurant, never entered a store, supermarket or mall),” she said in a lengthy post Thursday detailing her medical suffering and her unwavering conviction to be well for her kids.

She coupled her post with a photo of sons Joshua and Bimby in the outdoors looking happy and smiling.

Aquino went on to thank her friends from the religious sectors (including a minister, Iglesia ni Cristo people and Carmelite sisters) for performing healing prayers and rituals on her as spiritual guidance is “step 1 on what will likely be more than 18 months of diagnosis & treatment.”

“I’m signed up in a hospital’s center for those with rare & undiagnosed illnesses. My last set of test results were conflicting; that’s why I chose to have my full diagnosis & treatment with a team of multidisciplinary doctors,” she said.

Aquino said that she had to submit all her medical records from the time she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2018. After further assessment,  she’ll be subjected to “every imaginable test they’ll deem necessary” come early 2023.

Her medical team has ruled that Aquino was indeed a “challenge” since she is “allergic to so many types of medicines including all steroids.”

Also, she updated that she, together with sons Bimby and Josh had filed their papers with the US immigration to extend their stay, “Bawal umalis ng [United States] until the extension is granted. We miss our family and so many of you.”

In the end, she prays to surpass her ordeal so she can still be a mom to his boys.
