“THIS is a nightmare!”

This was what television personality Kat Alano repeatedly said as she broke down in an Instagram video which many netizens speculated was her answer to the grant of bail for TV host-actor Vhong Navarro.

In a 57-second Instagram Story, the actress was emotional.

“I’ve been through so much already. And this is still going on and people don’t understand the truth. This is a nightmare,” she said.

“I don’t know how to explain how bad it is but it’s a nightmare. It’s a nightmare for so many people and you’re not listening. I don’t know what else to do, I really don’t,” she added.

Alano made her breakdown public, few hours after Navarro was allowed to post P1 million bail for a sexual harassment case filed by model Denice Cornejo.

The 37-year British-Filipino model had earlier confessed of being a victim of rape but she never identified the culprit.

“I can’t stop crying. I feel broken and defeated. Ayaw ko na talaga,” she posted on Twitter.

In another tweet, she said she feels “sick” and that everything that’s happening is all “wrong.” She also expressed her frustration at those who side with what is wrong.

“Bahala na kayo Pilipinas. You deserve what you asked for,” she said,

“Sana hindi mangyari sa inyo to. It’s a nightmare that keeps going. Evil wins,” she added.

Navarro bails out

Just today, Navarro gained temporary liberty after the Taguig Regional Trial Court granted his petition for bail in connection with the rape and acts of lasciviousness complaints filed by Cornejo against him.

RTC Branch 69 Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan set his bail at P1 million.

The court said the evidence against him was not strong and that there were inconsistencies in Cornejo’s statements.

The “It’s Showtime” host has been detained since September. Last November 21, he was transferred from the National Bureau of Investigation detention center in Manila to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.

Why she never filed a case

With all her revelations, everyone was left asking why Alano never filed a case against her unnamed assailant.

In a tweet in 2020, Alano said her offender’s “uncle made sure that all cases filed against him would be dismissed.”

“I found this out first hand. Also, they have been waiting to file a case against me to silence me and discredit me in the media, knowing I could never get justice by filing,” she continued.

She referred to the “uncle” as the “Right hand of the former Pres.”

Alano has been saying that she was raped by a “famous personality” whose name “rhymes with wrong.” She first made her reveal in 2014.

Along with her clue, the former VJ also makes a reaction every time there is a development in the Navarro’s rape case but she has yet to name names up to now.
