Gamers to set foot as Jesus in new video game

by Joyce Remo

JESUS Christ is getting featured in a video game!

With the upcoming video game I Am Jesus Christ, gamers will get first-hand experience on how to be the first-century Jewish preacher and religious leader in the first quarter of 2023.

I Am Jesus Christ is the world’s first Jesus stimulator developed and published by SimulaM. The game will allow players to slip into the Christian Messiah’s sandals “in this incredible first-person retelling of the story of Christ from birth to resurrection.”

According to its description on Steam, a video game digital distribution service and storefront, players can become the prophet and perform amazing miracles, interact with biblical figure non-playing characters, and travel around the Holy Land from Jerusalem to the Galilee.

Earlier this month, SimulaM released a free playable prologue version of the game that allows players to try its gameplay that takes place in Ancient Nazareth.

The video game garnered favorable responses from members of the Steam community who tried the shortened 60-minute prologue version of I Am Jesus Christ.

While some feel the game is “weirdly blasphemous”, others praised and recommended the video game to other players.

Positive feedback aside, the prologue game is still an obvious work-in-progress as players can still experience framerate drops despite playing on a high-end device.

Another Steam user also noted that “animations are dull and very rudimentary” and “people are stuck in place with a very subtle head-moving animation and nothing more.”

I Am Jesus Christ will be downloadable via Steam. However, its release date is yet to be confirmed by developers.

The game developers recommend that players run the video game in devices with the following specifications:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4670K / AMD FX-8320 or equivalent
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 960 / Radeon R9 290X
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 25 GB available space

The Jesus stimulator will not be the last biblical video game that SimulaM will release. In 2023, the game developer will also drop Noah’s Ark, a simulation game inspired by stories from Genesis of the Bible.
