ONE year after they went separate ways, and Carlo Aquino’s admission of dating another woman, Trina Candaza said she still loves him

In an interview with talent manager Ogie Diaz, 

Candaza honestly poured her heart out.

“Gusto ko maging honest, Mama Ogs,” she said, “na hindi naman ako magkakaganito kung wala talaga eh, of course meron pa, kasi daddy siya ng anak ko.”

The two were reported to have parted ways in January last year and agreed to have a sharing agreement with their daughter Mithi.

But there was no confirmation until Aquino declared he was dating the other woman, actress Charlie Dizon, in April.

‘I did everything’

“Kung titignan ko si Mithi, syempre sinong bang nanay ang ayaw bigyan ng buong pamilya yung anak niya pero kung iisipin ko yung naging relationship namin ni Carlo noon parang hindi na rin mag-wu-work kung sakali man,” she said.

Candaza said she did everything she could to save the relationship but she never begged for Aquino to stay. 

“No Mama Ogs. Kasi kapag ayaw sakin ng tao tatanggapin ko lang pero hindi ko ipipilit sarili ko,” she said.  

And the new girl?

‘Wala na ko sa posisyon na magsalita about that kasi it’s their relationship and siguro pwede lang ako makapagbigay ng opinion ko kapag magiging nanay na siya ni Mithi,” she said.

She then went on to share that on Valentine’s Day last year, Aquino sent her, Mithi, and his mom some bouquets of flowers,  hers the biggest of them all.

Just like any other girl in a similar troubled relationship, she felt puzzled, the gesture got her asking what it meant. 

“Tinanong ko siya Mama Ogs, sa akin kasi ‘yung pinakamalaking bouquet, ano ba binigyan niya lang ba ko dahil nanay ako ng anak niya or special ba ko what,” she said. 

“Gusto daw niya kasi bigyan yung mga mahal niya sa buhay. So tinanong ko siya, mahal mo pa ba ko? Ayaw mo na ba kami ibalik?” she asked.

However, she received an answer any girl would never want to get, a “seen zone.” Which meant Aquino saw her questions, but gave no reply.

Candaza said she was still hoping that one day she would see herself settled with another man.

But unless he is the rightful, godly man for her, she would rather not fall in love again.

“Pinagdadasal ko yun Mama Ogs sabi ko, kung hindi para sakin ‘yung lalaki wag ko na mameet. Wag na mapunta sa buhay ko kasi ayoko na ng heartbreak,” she said.

“Kung may darating na lalaki, sana ‘yun na siya ayoko yung magpapalit-palit or kumilala ng bagong tao,” she said. 

In the same interview, Candaza answered Aquino’s claims that she had denied him his right to enjoy their daughter’s company.
