What inspired BINI Aiah to launch her ‘Aiahdvocacy?’

AIAH Arceta, one of the eight members of the popular girl group BINI, is not only occupied by her commitments as a P-pop idol this holiday season, attending and performing in back-to-back events including their recently held “Grand BINIverse” concert.

She also dedicates her time to working on her “Aiahdvocacy,” her “special love club project” where she aims to give back to communities during the “Ber” months. She launched this project in a community in Tondo, Manila in September, where she donated groceries to kids in the area.

But what motivated Aiah to kick off this advocacy? This was the question a fan asked her during a Q&A session on X (formerly Twitter).

According to Aiah, this advocacy was inspired by videos and photos of different charities she saw on social media that made her want to help communities too.

“For those who know me, I am a big Christmas person. I love the spirit of Christmas and how the start of Ber months makes me feel like it’s already Christmas even if there’s still Halloween season,” she replied.

“So then I thought, why not start a charity thing every month starting from September to December and try my best to share this feeling of Christmas that I always feel whenever it’s Ber months na,” she continued.

The P-pop idol shared that one of her realizations this 2024 is to share the blessings she has been receiving through her hard work to other individuals.

“[F]or me, it feels great to share and to be of service especially na love language ko ay acts of service,” she highlighted. “So it’s a win-win for me.”

Aiah also said that she’s “lucky and blessed” to have friends, resources, and energy that equip her to conduct her special project.

Like her, the BINI member hopes that netizens who see her “Aiahdvocacy” photos and videos will also be inspired to help those in need. “That’s the very intention of why I wanna share it online,” said Aiah in another post.

Meanwhile, fans of BINI, collectively known as BLOOMs, expressed how proud they are for stanning the right artist.

“I have no regrets in choosing you as my idol. Thank you for being a good influencer!” one fan said on X.

Other BLOOMs, on the other hand, said they hope to give back to their communities as soon as they have the means to do so.

‘Aiahdvocacy’ continues

In October, Aiah brought her “Aiahdvocacy” project to a residential elderly care facility, where she held various activities for the elders, including singing, dancing, and playing games. She was joined by her fellow BINI members Colet and Maloi.

The elders’ favorite part was playing the Bingo game, said Aiah.

Last month, Aiah visited La Union for a beach clean-up, tree planting, and a thanksgiving program. This was the first time the Team “Aiahdvocacy” went out of town for the special project, which was held immediately after the third day of “Grand BINIverse” concert at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

During her visit to the province, Aiah said she had a short get-together with several locals and fisherfolks. With this drive, she hoped that everyone would be reminded of the importance of taking care of nature and people.

While fans are eager to see where Team “Aiahdvocacy” will go in December, some recommended they visit an animal shelter.
