‘Van Gogh Alive’ returns to Manila this October

ART buffs, hold onto your seats as another immersive exhibit is headed back to the country in the coming months!

Following the success of the newly-opened Wisdom of Da Vinci and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition, BGC Arts Center announced that it would be bringing back the famous Van Gogh Alive exhibit this October.

Dubbed as the “world’s most visited multi-sensory exhibition experience,” the Van Gogh Alive exhibit will feature over 3,000 art pieces from the Dutch post-impressionist painter, Vincent Van Gogh.

These artworks will be scaled massively and projected onto the exhibition’s space’s walls, screens, columns, floors, and ceilings, allowing viewers to witness the vivid details that constitute that painter’s unique art style.

Van Gogh’s paintings also change or switch places as synchronized with some classical melodies playing in the background.

This will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the artist’s world as they enjoy the “unforgettable multi-sensory experience” the exhibit promises through the symphony of light, color, and sound.

“Interpret his thoughts, feelings and state of mind during his time in Arles, Saint Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise, the locations where he created many of his timeless masterpieces,” Grande Experiences, the exhibit’s creator, wrote on its official website.

“See these works in hyper-fine detail, with special attention paid to key features, allowing you time to study color and technique,” it added.

Aside from the confirmation of the Van Gogh Alive comeback, no other details were mentioned about the exhibit.
