DISNEY+ subscribers! Did you miss the adventures of Carl Fredricksen and Dug in the sequel to UP?
The newest romp of Carl and Dug, called “Carl’s Date,” was already screened in theaters in June as a short in front of the film Elemental.
But if haven’t watched it yet, the Disney+ announced last September 6 that it will premiere on September 13 in their channel.
As seen on the official trailer, this 8 minute short is about how Dug thedog will help Carl with his dating life!
Since Carl is new to the dating culture, he doesn’t have any idea how it works. According to the official synopsis, Carl agrees to go on a date with his friend Miss Meyer, and Dug will remind him how dating works.
Part of it includes ordering a lot of gifts, and getting freshly picked flowers (which he seemed to make a mess of, based on the trailer).
Haven’t watched it in theaters? It will be on your screen soon!
UP is a 2009 film about Carl Fredricksen, a balloon seller, who has lost his wife. Since her passing, he lived alone in the home that he and his wife had shared. Through the years, the area where their house stands turned into an urban area.
Fredricksen does not want to give up their home, so he decides to tie a thousand balloons to the house to fly it to another area.
But along the way, he discovers that Russell, an eight-year old wilderness explorer, unexpectedly became a stowaway in his house. Their adventure begins.
