TROPICAL Depression Aghon maintaned its intensity as it crossed the waters of San Vicente town in Northern Samar Friday morning.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Aghon continues to move northwest at a speed of 30 km per hour (kph)—packing winds as high as 85 kph in gusts and a maximum sustained speed of 55 kph close to the center.
Its 11 a.m. bulletin said that Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TWCS) no. 1 was raised in the eastern areas of Bulacan, Laguna and Rizal along with other 17 areas in Luzon and Visayas.
PAGASA noted that the center of TD Aghon was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of San Vicente.
