TikToker Dominique McShain dies at 21

AT THE age of 21, TikToker and Influencer Dominque McShaine died from battling colon cancer. 

The TikToker was known to share her journey as she battled her terminal illness. 

She first opened up about the diagnosis of her colorectal cancer last year on April 24, saying that she needed to take a break from school to receive treatment. 

In her last post last April 6, she stated that her liver was “falling rapidly to the point of jaundice,” while her cancer was “progressing quickly.” 

She disclosed at the time that she had switched to end-of-life care, “focusing on pain relief and managing side effects” at the hospital and hospice facilities. 

“Because of this, I’m no longer able to receive any treatments, including the chemo I’ve been on for 7 months over the last year,” she said.

“My life may be short, but I genuinely think I’ve squeezed every bit out of it,” she mused, pointing out that she had a family that loved her unconditionally as well as friends “who would 10000% donate a liver to me or do anything they could (and probably argue over who gets to do it).”

McShain also stated at the time that she was “picturing Heaven often—a place where l’ll finally be free from the pain that’s been with me for so long.” 

“I imagine myself without the constant suffering, no longer needing medication just to survive the day. I’ll be able to run, to breathe, to feel whole,” she added. 

“Though it will hurt to leave you all behind, please know that I will finally be out of pain, and I will be at peace,” she continued.
