These Taylor Swift-inspired cafes are a must-visit for Pinoy Swifties

When Taylor Swift announced last year that she would embark on a world tour to pay homage to musical eras of her career, many Swifties hoped that their countries would be part of it, including Filipinos.

The Philippines, however, was left out of the Asian leg of The Eras Tour, which will happen in Japan and Singapore in 2024.

But this news did not stop Filipino Swifties from celebrating the musical journey of the 12-time Grammy winner. They flocked to a shopping mall in July to be part of the Pinoy version of Swift’s ongoing tour, led by drag queen Taylor Sheesh.

Aside from the mall show, there are also other places in the country where fans can celebrate the Bejeweled singer’s milestone. Where? At cafés that are inspired by the singer-songwriter.

Get your vocals ready as you sing along to Swift’s songs at these coffee shops:

Wiltlover Café

Wiltlover Café will not just fill your stomach, but it will also satisfy your eyes with its graceful ambiance created by its floral interior design.

The store is a “combined concept of a coffee shop and Wiltlover Dried Fleurs for events”  by coffee enthusiasts and Swiftie couple Kevin Mardo and Anrol Sarah.

According to its website, Wiltlover Café began during the pandemic in a residential community with a goal to introduce “the taste and aroma of a true coffee bean.” Its coffee beans are sourced locally.

Of course, the coffee shop also offers cake, pastries, pasta, and pizza that are best paired with any of its drinks.

What’s more fun is that Wiltlover Café also has a menu for your fur babies, whom you can bring to the shop!

Your coffee shop experience won’t be complete without being dazzled by its Instagrammable spots that exhibit relatable lyrics from Swift’s hit song.

In its main branch in Mandaluyong, there is a floral wall that has an LED display of the last line of the song All Too Well, which goes: “It was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well.”

One would also instantly notice from the outside the shop’s signature pink and white floral ceiling.

Wiltlover Café also has branches in Makati, Quezon City, and Laguna.

Locations:

  • GF Robinsons Cybergate 3 Pioneer St. Mandaluyong City
  • 2nd Level Ayala Circuit Mall Makati near Samsung Performing Arts Theater
  • 2nd Floor Ayala Fairview Terraces Quezon City near Timezone
  • GF Nuvali Solenad 1 Sta. Rosa Laguna, Lakeside boat ride area

Swifties Café

From the name itself, you can’t deny whose fan base this coffee shop is dedicated to.

Swifties Café feels like a small treasure trove of Swift’s memorabilia. Opened in November 2022, the coffee shop is filled with photo frames that display polaroids of the Anti-Hero singer, cut out lyrics from her hit songs, stickers, and album CDs.

The shop’s owner has a collection of Swift’s albums, from her debut studio album Taylor Swift in 2006 to Midnights in 2022.

The most notable Swift design in the cafe is the huge letters of the popular line, “It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem, It’s me,” from the song Anti-Hero. It is written atop a 12-section square wall mirror in the café.

Swifties Café serves coffee, non-coffee beverages, and floats. For snacks, it has pasta, churros, and fries.

The latest addition to its menu is cookies that are named after Swift’s studio albums. These are eversmores, mango love, folklore matcha alcapone, midnights oatmeal, and chocolate chip.

Location: 253 Rizal Ave., Barangay San Juan, Taytay, Rizal

Midnights Cafe

There is also a new Swift-inspired coffee shop that has just opened its doors for Dabawenyo Swifties.

Established on August 3, Midnights Cafe is for people “who like to have a good bond, eat good food [and] drinks” and listen to Taylor Swift songs all day every day,” based on its Facebook post.

This minimalist small coffee shop displays a felt letter board that shows a line from the song You’re on Your Own, Kid that goes, “Take the moment and taste it.”

Midnights Cafe lets its customers chill with its wide selection of drinks, ranging from hot and iced coffee-based beverages, to plant-based and vegan-friendly drinks, and fruity smoothies.

For snacks, it has cakes, crinkles, appetizers such as fries and nachos, salad, and pasta.

But if you opt for a heavy meal, Midnights Cafe offers a main entrée menu that has seared beef kare-kare, breaded shrimp in savory sesame sauce, and crispy chicken in galbi sauce.

Midnights Cafe is currently in its soft opening phase. It encourages customers to make reservations, since its seating capacity is limited.

Location: Emilio Jacinto Street, Davao City
