(UPDATED) VETERAN actress Nora Aunor passed away at the age of 71.
In a social media post by her son, actor Kristoffer Ian De Leon announced the passing of the Superstar.
“We love you Ma.. alam ng diyos kung gano ka namin ka mahal.. pahinga ka na po Ma.. nandito ka lang sa puso at isipan namin..” the post said.
In a following post, De Leon shared that Aunor died on Wednesday, April 16.
Meanwhile, her daughter, actress Matet De Leon, posted their photos together from her wedding with the simple caption of, “I love you mommy”.
Showbiz personality Ogie Diaz also posted on his Instagram story, sending his sympathies to the loved ones of Aunor.
“Ang amin taos pusong pakikiramay sa mga naulila at maging sa movie industry ni Ate Guy Ms. Nora Aunor,” Diaz posted.
No further details about the death of the actress fondly known as Ate Guy was revealed. In her son’s follow up post, he said that other information will be announced on Thursday, April 17.
Aunor was best known for her works in Bona, Himala, T-Bird at Ako whom she starred with Vilma Santos, and so much more.
She was recognized as a National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022.
