“FOREVER and always, your wife.”
This was the endearing caption that actress Millie Bobby Brown wrote as she posted photos of her wedding to Instagram.
Although they tied the knot back in May, these never-before-seen photos show Brown and her now-husband, Jake Bongiovi, smiling and enamored with one another during their wedding.
In the photos, Brown was wearing a stunning silk dress from designer Galia Lahav, while Bongiovi was in a sleek black Tom Ford suit.
Bongiovi also posted a photo dump of the wedding to his Instagram with a similar caption to that of Brown’s: “Forever and always, your husband.”
Fans were quick to show their love and support for the newly-wed couple; at present, Brown’s Instagram post has over 6.6 million likes.
“[You] deserve all the happiness coming your way,” one fan wrote.
Amybeth McNulty, who plays Anne in “Anne With an E”, said: “So much love to you both!”
Jake Bongiovi, 22, is a model and actor and the son of rockstar Jon Bon Jovi, while Millie Bobby Brown, 20, is the star of the Netflix show “Stranger Things,” where she plays the main character, Eleven.
Bongiovi and Brown first met on Instagram back in 2021, quickly becoming friends before they soon turned into lovers.
They officially came out about their relationship on November 1, 2021, after Brown posted a photo of the two of them tightly embracing one another in a pod at the London Eye.
In April of 2023, they confirmed that they were engaged after posting sweet black and white photos of one another to Instagram, wherein Brown was proudly showcasing a beautiful diamond ring.
Quoting Taylor Swift’s song “Lover” in the caption, she wrote: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all.”
In February, Brown shared on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” how Bongiovi had proposed. She said that the two had bonded over diving, even getting their licenses together.
One day, he asked Brown if she wanted to go diving at their go-to spot at 8 in the morning. It was then that he brought out a shell underwater, and then turned it over to reveal a ring.
Brown humorously talked about how she couldn’t understand what Bongiovi had been saying as he spoke to her underwater, and then says that when they’d gone above water, the ring fell down as she was going to show it to him.
Bongiovi immediately threw himself into the water despite protests from their diving instructor, just to grab the ring and bring it back ashore for Brown.
“I truly feel like it’s a reflection of who he is and I feel like we’re always gonna have each other’s back; if someone drops the ball, we got it,” she said.
They then got married in May, and their wedding was described by The Sun as low-key and romantic. The wedding was a small, intimate ceremony that Brown’s and Bongiovi’s families attended. After the wedding, they headed off to Italy to celebrate with family and friends.
The wedding was officiated by Matthew Modine, otherwise known as Dr. Martin Brenner or Papa on Stranger Things.
