SOUTH Korean actor Park Min Jae, who appeared in the teen drama “Snap and Spark,” passed away. He was 32.
His brother confirmed his passing in an Instagram post on December 2. The actor’s funeral will be held at the Seoul National University Hospital Funeral Hall on Thursday, December 4.
“My beloved brother has gone to rest,” he said in Korean, as translated by Google. “I hope as many people as possible will come to see my brother.”
Park’s agency, Big Title, also issued a statement on its artist’s passing, describing the latter as a “talented actor who loved acting and always gave his best.”
“We deeply appreciate the love and support he received,” it said, as reported by Korean entertainment website Soompi.
“Although we can no longer watch his performances, we will proudly remember him as a valued actor of Big Title,” it added.
Korean media outlets said that Park died from sudden cardiac arrest on November 29 during his trip to China.
Quoting Big Title Chief Executive Officer Hwang Ju Hye, Park planned to go on a one-month trip to China.
GND Studio also offered its deepest condolences to the actor’s bereaved family.
“Though we are overcome with shock and deep sorrow at this sudden loss, the passion and warm kindness that Park Min-jae demonstrated will remain in our hearts forever,” it said in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).
It continued, “We would be grateful if you could join us in remembering Park Min-jae and paying tribute to his memory.”
Park also appeared in the 2024 Korean Boys’ Love (BL) series “My Damn Business,” playing the role of Park Young-chan. It aired on GND Studio’s YouTube channel.
He had a guest appearance in the 2023 teen drama series “Snap and Spark” as a jazz bar owner.
