She’s got GUTS: Olivia Rodrigo drops sophomore album

OLIVIA Rodrigo’s sophomore album ‘GUTS’ is finally here! 

Rodrigo released the 12-track album on September 8 with the following tracks: 

• all-american bitch
• bad idea right?
• vampire
• lacy
• ballad of a homeschooled girl
• making the bed
• logical
• get him back!
• love is embarrassing
• the grudge
• pretty isn’t pretty
• teenage dream

The 20-year-old pop star first announced the forthcoming release of her second album on June 26.

A few days later, on June 30, she released Vampire, the lead single from the album. 

In August, she followed this up with the song bad Idea right?

In an interview with Phoebe Brigders on Interview Magazine, Rodrigo revealed that the process for creating GUTS was very different from that of her previous album SOUR. 

“This album felt very different to make than SOUR. It feels a lot more mature just because of the state of my life,” she said. 

GUTS follows Rodrigo’s successful debut album SOUR released in 2021, for which she won Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Vocal Album in 2022. She also won Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. 

Her debut single from the album, Driver’s License, broke several records in 2021 and became one of the best-selling songs of the year. 

Rodrigo first gained recognition for her lead role on the Disney series’ Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Musical Series. The star first released her debut single “Driver’s License” in 2021, the song then broke a lot of records—making it one of the best-selling songs of the year.
