SEVENTEEN lands in Manila for ‘Right Here’ concert

WELCOME back, SEVENTEEN!

Filipino CARATs could not contain their happiness and excitement as several members of the K-pop boy group returned to the Philippines on Thursday, January 16, two days before their long-awaited concert in Bulacan.

SEVENTEEN—consists of S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino—is in the country for its two-day “Right Here” concert at the Philippine Sports Stadium on January 18 and 19.

However, Jeonghan would not join the event as he fulfills his mandatory military service.

On X (formerly Twitter), one netizen spotted SEVENTEEN at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), sharing a clip of Mingyu being surrounded by a security detail while some Filipinos waved at him.

“Just arrived in the PH and I saw SEVENTEEN at NAIA,” they wrote. “I didn’t know I’m [shaking].”

The K-pop boy group was welcomed with “Right Here” banners and a birthday advertisement for Seungkwan at the NAIA. Seungkwan, SEVENTEEN’s main vocalist, is celebrating his 27th birthday on January 16.

Before this, several photos and videos of S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, The8, DK, and Seungkwan at the Incheon International Airport departing for Manila made rounds on the internet.

SEVENTEEN last visited the Philippines in January 2024 for its “Follow” tour at the Philippine Sports Stadium.

CARAT Station Manila

To elevate the excitement of Filo CARATs for the Philippine leg of the “Right Here” world tour, music streaming platform Spotify teamed up with SEVENTEEN to establish the “CARAT Station Manila.”

The themed pop-up event will open its doors to the fans at Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City, starting Friday, January 17.

The “CARAT Station Manila” promises “an exhilarating playground” that will give fans “themed, interactive experiences” curated by SEVENTEEN and Spotify to amp them up for the “Right Here” concert.

In a press statement, the self-producing K-pop idols said the “CARAT Station” is their way to thank the fans for their unwavering love and support.

“We’ve put a lot of care into creating an experience that’s truly unforgettable,” the group said.

“We hope you’ll stop by, have fun and share in our excitement as we prepare to deliver our best performances yet,” it added.

Formed by PLEDIS Entertainment, SEVENTEEN debuted in 2015 with its first extended play (EP) “17 CARAT.” The group is known for its hit songs “LOVE, MONEY, FAME (featuring DJ Khaled),” “Super,” “MAESTRO,” “HOT,” and “VERY NICE,” among many others.
