SB19’s ’Simula at Wakas’ EP tracklist revealed

P-POP powerhouse SB19 amped up the excitement of its fans for its highly anticipated “Simula at Wakas” extended play (EP), revealing its full tracklist on Monday.

The EP consists of seven tracks, including the group’s newest single “DAM” and its extended version. The second track is “TIME,” followed by “8TONBALL,” “QUIT,” “SHOOTING FOR THE STARS,” and “DUNGKA!”

SB19’s leader and chief songwriter Pablo, whose real name is John Paulo Nase, Josh Cullen Santos, and Felip, also known as Ken Suson, participated in songwriting for the EP.

Josh Cullen is credited as one of the lyricists for “8TONBALL,” while Felip collaborated with  Pablo for “QUIT.”

Pablo, meanwhile, worked on the lyrics for most songs in the EP, except “8TONBALL” and “SHOOTING FOR THE STARS.”

“Simula at Wakas,” the third installment in SB19’s EP trilogy, will be available on music streaming platforms on April 25. It followed the releases of “Pagsibol” EP in 2021 and “PAGTATAG!” EP in 2023.

‘DAM Tree’ in BGC

As part of the promotions for the EP, SB19 installed an artificial tree in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig City, where fans can listen to “DAM” and audio teasers for other songs in the EP.

Called the “DAM Tree,” this installation bore artificial apples that display the P-pop group’s name and logo.

At the center of the tree lies another artificial apple that fans can press to release a clear capsule ball that will determine the prize they can win, including a signed photocard.

The “DAM Tree” will be in BGC from April 4 to May 4, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

SB19 members visited the “DAM Tree” and interacted with several A’TIN last Friday.

“Salamat nang buong puso sa suporta palagi, andoon man kami o wala, biglaan man o planado,” the P-pop group said.

“Atin ang puno na ‘to. Punong-puno ng pagmamahal para sa inyo, A’TIN,” it added.

SB19 is set to hold its two-night concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan from May 31 and June 1. The group will make history as the first Filipino act to hold two consecutive shows at the world’s largest indoor arena.
