The annual celebration of International Museum Day, Ayala Museum offers free admission and opens their galleries and Filipinas Heritage Library this May 19, Sunday, from 10 AM to 6 PM only.
Watch out for their “Gold of Ancestors: Pre-colonial Treasures in the Philippines” exhibition, arts and crafts activity with Googly Gooeys, and educational video streaming for visitors.
Pre-registration is required to secure your slots as this will be limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. The official registration link will be posted in the Ayala Museum page.
Save your weekend ahead as Yuchengco Museum offers a 2-day free admission on May 17 and 18, from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Be open and learn about the Philippines’ well-known art, unique culture and historical designs in the exhibit including the “Roots and Paradoxes: The Filipino Voices” of Carlos Bulosan and Carlos Villa, the “Fernando Amorsolo: Partnership with the Danilo Soriano Family Foundation and the Fernando Amorsolo Art Foundation,” and “Blue Horizons” of Glenn A. Bautista.

The Asian Institute of Maritime Studies (AIMS) Museo Maritimo, the first-maritime-themed museum in the country, has set an activity program to contribute new discoveries in arts, history, science and technology.
Program includes the Open Museum Day, soft launch of Deck 4 Educational Walls in the Lighthouse Building, and the release of AIMS Museo Maritimo Publication.

Visual artist, Mark Orozco Justiniani, together with Fr. Jett Villarin, SJ, and Dr. Remmon Barbaza will have the first ArtSpeak, “An Artist’s Conversation with a Physicist and a Philosopher”.
The second ArtSpeak talk will be a series of discussions on writing, featuring Eileen Legaspi Ramirez, Mariah Reodica, Jay Rosas, Nicole Soriano Lao. Celebrating the 10th Purita Kalaw-Ledesma Prizes in Art Criticism, this session “Who do we write for?” will be moderated by Lisa Ito-Tapang on May 18.

The National Museum of the Philippines invites all enthusiasts to participate in the Book Cover Design Activity on May 17, 2024, at the Central Library and Archives of the National Museum of Anthropology.
In addition to the book cover design activity, a book talk session and gallery tour are added in celebration of National Heritage Month this May.
The book cover design activity in digital drawing will take place from 8:30 AM to 12 PM while the traditional drawing activity will be from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
