ARE fans finally seeing Kathryn Bernardo and Nadine Lustre in one project?
This question has been on their minds since talent agency Star Magic dropped a teaser of an upcoming project featuring the two beloved actresses of their generation.
In a 10-second video filmed in a production set, a woman posted the nameplates of Lustre and Bernardo, also known as KathDine, on the door of a production tent.
The camera then panned on a clapperboard which read: “Project Queens.”
“#ProjectQueens is ready to slay!” Star Magic wrote on its caption, along with the hashtags #KathrynBernardo and #NadineLustre.
While further details about the new project are still kept under wraps, the clip, which now has over 6,600 shares on Facebook, brought immense joy and excitement to the fans hoping to see Lustre and Bernardo collaborate in a project.
“What is this sorcery! Props to whoever pulled this off!” one netizen commented.
A collaboration project between the two actresses has been on the bucket list of their fans for years.
In 2023, a netizen posted a fan-edited video on TikTok featuring spliced clips of Lustre and Bernardo embroiled in an argument and a text that read: “The collab that we deserve.” The spliced videos were from Lustre’s “Never Not Love You” in 2018 and Bernardo’s “Barcelona: A Love Untold” in 2016.
The official TikTok account of Viva Films noticed the fan-edited video and tagged Star Cinema’s page in the comment section and said, “G?”
Some netizens revisited the fan-made video and commented, “Guess what?!”
“Nandito dahil sa post ng ABS-CBN,” another TikTok user said.
While they have yet to co-star in a major acting project, Lustre and Bernardo had previous interactions, attending the same events and posing together for a photo.
The actresses recently appeared on the cover of a fashion magazine.
Bernardo’s last big screen project was “Hello, Love, Again” in 2024, starring alongside Alden Richards. Lustre, on the other hand, last appeared in the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Uninvited,” alongside Vilma Santos and Aga Muhlach.
