Outdoor homes built for stray cats in Parañaque subdivision

A PURRY moment indeed as netizens praised a resident who took the initiative to install wooden mini-houses in a subdivision in Parañaque City to shelter stray cats from the sun and rain.

In a now-viral post on Facebook, an online user named John Wood Works shared photos of his commissioned outdoor cat houses.

Napakabait nyo mam super maraming salamat po,” the carpenter said in a caption.

According to a report by GMA’s “State of the Nation,” it took the company two weeks to finish the cat homes.

The report was shared by Cindy Santwani, the resident who commissioned the cathouses.

In a Facebook post, Santwani shared that building these cat homes did not come easy, saying that it was a challenge to persuade the carpenter to accept the commissioned work.

Santwani said that the reason why she wanted to have these cathouses installed was because there were a lot of stray cats in her subdivision.

She hoped that this initiative of hers would inspire more individuals to help stray cats in their communities.

Netizens react

Meanwhile, several netizens showered Santwani with praises in the comment section of the company’s Facebook post.

They were also touched by how Santwani cared for stray animals and hoped that others would also be compassionate enough towards these furpals.

One social media user agreed to this and said, “If only others could do the same and imitate such kindness to strays.”
