Olivia Rodrigo to release GUTS World Tour Concert Special on Netflix

TEAM Bahay for Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming concert in the Philippines?

Don’t worry, because the “GUTS World Tour Concert Special” will be coming to Netflix on October 29!

On Netflix, the description for the upcoming film reads: “At a sold-out concert in her hometown of LA, Olivia Rodrigo pours her heart into an electrifying night of chart-topping hits and pop-rock power ballads.”

In a statement talking about the film, Rodrigo said that she is excited to share the Guts World Tour, directed by James Merryman, with her fans.

“For those of you who didn’t get a chance to rock out in person, now you can have the best eats in the house!” she said.

“And to the fans who cheered, screamed, and danced with me, I am so glad we get to do it all over again!”

According to website Music Radar, the concert special was filmed at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, featuring songs from Rodrigo’s two albums, “Guts” and “Sour”.

Sold out in the PH

Following Rodrigo’s announcement that she would be coming to the Philippines for a concert, with tickets costing only ₱1,500, over 700,000 people queued online last September 14th in hopes to attend.

After the online selling came the over-the-counter ticket sales; hundreds of fans lined up, but even camping out overnight did not guarantee everyone a ticket.

As per posts from angry netizens online, Rodrigo’s tickets allegedly sold out during the onsite selling only a few minutes after opening.

“People camped out for this!,” one outraged user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote.

“Wish you disclosed how many tickets lang available per branch.”

“Nag-camp mula 27 ng 9PM hanggang selling day, #39 sa pila out of 200+, tapos nganga sa d-day,” another wrote.

“Ang mali dito wala sila formal info sa public na ganito nalang ang percentage na available onsite, kaya ang mga fans nagdagsaan… sana naka-online nalang lahat  at doon nila nilagay lahat para wala ng campers na umasa na makaka-secure pa.”

Many fans have clamored to add a second day for Rodrigo’s Philippines concert, but given that her performance is scheduled for October 5th, this seems highly unlikely.

Fans need not worry, however, as they’ll be able to sing along to songs like “Driver’s License” and “All-American Bitch” as many times as they want to come the 29th.
