Moira to release new album ‘I’m Okay’ this November

READY for another string of heartfelt songs?

Entering her new era, original Pinoy music (OPM) singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre is set to drop a new album titled “I’m Okay” on November 22, Friday.

This followed the release of her latest single “San Ka Na,” an indie-folk pop track that talks about the feeling of being abandoned by someone they once thought would never leave.

“I’m Okay” will feature 13 tracks that will speak about the lessons that Moira learned about love, growth, and self-discovery in the past years.

On Instagram, the 31-year-old singer, known for her emotional ballads, said it felt “so surreal” to finally release the album she had worked on for two and a half years.

“There were a lot of plans that changed throughout this whole season, but we had lessons to learn, chapters to close and now, finally, a new season to embrace,” she wrote, alongside the album cover where she was sitting on top of a car that was submerged in water and surrounded by flowers.

But more than sharing these lessons, Moira wanted listeners to resonate with her forthcoming album.

“I only have one request as you listen: that you make it your own. Mold it to however way it fits your story,” she said.“This isn’t my story anymore.”

Album teaser

In another Instagram post, Moira shared a 50-second teaser video of “I’m Okay,” where she was seen driving along the road and exploring various places—from spending time on a beach to walking in the city.

“The world’s in a hurry, and you just want to feel safe,” Moira said in the clip.

“You keep your feet steady, knowing that you’re about to break. You’ve been running empty, but you give more than you can anyway,” she continued. “And when things get heavy, you tell them you are okay.”

In the comment section, many netizens turned emotional and said they could already relate to the album teaser.

Actress Sarah Lahbati even commented, “I just ordered my tissue boxes.”

Another netizen wrote, “I’m not okay. Felt like crying [already].”

“Here we go! Yung kahit walang dinadalang sakit masasaktan ka,” one Instagram user wrote.

Moira served as one of the creative directors for the album teaser, along with Jason Max and Benedict Mariategue.
