WE’RE getting another song from Filipino indie band Lola Amour!
On X (formerly Twitter), the OPM band confirmed that it has a forthcoming song titled “Namimiss Ko Na.”
In a comic 30-second teaser, it gave a snippet of the song’s instrumentals, and it looks like it would be an upbeat track.
“Namimiss Ko Na” is set to be released on March 13, and fans can now pre-save it.
The song might not be the only thing people should expect from Lola Amour because it said in another post that there were “more surprises coming your way.”
“Stay tuned,” it added, apparently teasing the fans about its upcoming projects.
“Namimiss Ko Na” will follow the band’s hit single “Raining in Manila,” which was released in 2023.
The new song announcement came following reports that Lola Amour is also set to release its debut album. Further details such as its track list have yet to be revealed but the band members said last month that they were done recording the album.
Lola Amour also shared a fan’s post on X, saying that the band announced that the album would be out in April.
The band will be seen in the highly anticipated Wanderland Music and Arts Festival 2024, to be held on March 9 to March 10 at the Filinvest City Events Grounds in Alabang.
It will perform on the first day of the festival along with international headliner Jack Johnson, Parcels, Novo Amor, Cosmo’s Midnight, Beenzino, Gabba, ena mori, Jose Miguel, bird, and Bosudong Cooler.
Formed in 2013, Lola Amour is a seven-piece band from Muntinlupa that gets inspiration from genres such as modern rock, funk and pop.
It gained immense popularity through its song “Raining in Manila,” which caught the attention of local and international listeners for its relatable lyrics and beats that could boost one’s mood.
The song speaks about waiting for someone a person longs for, even if they would no longer return.
One of the popular international artists who have lent their ears to “Raining in Manila” were K-pop idols Jay, Jake and Jungwon of boy group ENHYPEN.
Last month, Jay shared a clip of him playing the song with his guitar. He also did the same thing last year.
The band also performed the song live during the Manila concert of Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin in January 2024.
Before this, K-pop idol BamBam dropped a new song cover of “Raining in Manila” during his “Area 52” concert in the country in September 2023.
Lola Amour has performed in different parts of the country, especially for their “Raining in Manila” tour.
