Know your Top 5 Taylor Swift Era in this new Spotify feature

AS Swifties say, there will always be a Taylor Swift song and album that you can relate to whatever you’re going through in life.

Got a huge crush on a celebrity? Listen to Superstar.

Had to end a love affair that would have lasted for forever but you weren’t ready to commit? Play Champagne Problems.

Feeling sentimental about your childhood? Maybe seven, Never Grow Up, and The Best Day might help you with the blues you get from nostalgia.

Or if you feel like falling in love with someone, try listening to Labyrinth, invisible string, Lavender Haze, and every other masterpieces she wrote for her previous lover.

While it’s always easy to know which song from the 12-time Grammy winner you resonate to at a particular period of your life, it might not be so simple to identify which Taylor Swift era you’re in. How can you even pick from the 10 profoundly impressive albums from the pop superstar?

Good thing paid digital music service Spotify recently released an exclusive in-app feature that lets users pick their top 5 eras from Swift’s soul-stirring records.

What’s your Top 5 TS era?

The music streaming platform released its My Top 5:Taylor Swift’s Eras on Wednesday, July 26.

This interactive experience allows users to curate their top eras and share the result with their friends through various social media platforms.

Spotify had also released My Top 5 experiences for different iconic artists in the past, including The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, ROSALÍA, and BTS.

How it works

With only four easy steps, Spotify can now choose their five Taylor Swift Eras, according to the app.

  1. Ensure your Spotify mobile app is up-to-date with the latest version available in the App store (v8.8.52).
  2. Visit https://spotify.com/top5 on your mobile device.
  3. View Taylor Swift’s 10 Eras and then reorder them into a visual display, creating your personal Top 5*.
  4. After, you’ll receive a personalized digital card (inspired by the poster for the “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour”) to share and compare your Top 5 with friends—and the world—on social media.

After picking your Top 5 eras, Spotify listeners who are eligible will see their personalized Top 5 Taylor Swift Eras according to how they have streamed the musician’s tracks on the app, said Spotify.

Swifties react

Fans of the multi-awarded singer-songwriter shared their Top 5 eras on various social media platforms.

This new Spotify feature was well-received by Swifties, who found it cute and interesting to see their Top 5 chosen eras and compare them to the Top 5 albums they actually listened to the most.
