Teenage Dream album

Feeling nostalgic? Let’s take a look back at the award-winning Teenage Dream album.

Perry’s sophomore album was released on August 24, 2010 under American record label Capitol Records, Inc. It contains six tracks namely, California Girls, Teenage Dream, E.T, Firework, Last Friday Night, and The One That Got Away.

Co-wrote by Perry, the album touches on various topics such as young love, self-discovery, and having fun. The singer also collaborated with other well-known artists that left a huge impression on the music scene.

Perry worked with American rapper Snoop Dogg in California Gurls, her ode to her hometown. The song’s music video treated the fans with its cotton candy heaven-like visuals. Meanwhile, her song E.T featured hip-hop singer-songwriter Kanye West in its unique, science-fiction themed music video.

The album was called Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection when it was re-released in 2012 to add tracks Wide Awake and Part of Me

It now has 17 songs on Spotify, including singles Peacock, Circle The Drain, Who am I Living For?, Pearl, Hummingbird, and Not Like The Movies.

Teenage Dream album took home multiple awards and nominations in different awarding ceremonies.

Among those are Album Title award from IFPI Platinum Europe Awards and  International Album of the Year awards from Juno Awards and from Premios Telehit in 2011.

In the same year, Teenage Dream album was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards.
