JYP confirms Chaeyoung’s dating rumor with Singer Zion T.

Earlier this morning, a Korean news outlet reported that everyone’s favorite strawberry princess, TWICE’s Chaeyoung, is rumored to be dating fellow Korean singer Zion T. On Koreaboo, they say that the two met through an acquaintance and slowly developed feelings for each other. 

They have reportedly been together for six months, going on public dates to places such as Hannam-dong and Yeonhui-dong. Other sources claim they have been to Kangbuk in Seoul and enjoy walking in quiet places. 

Soompi released a follow-up stating that Chaeyoung’s company, JYP Entertainment, has confirmed it by saying, “The two of them are currently dating with positive feelings for one another. They are supporting each other.” 

The news has been positively received by fans, saying they are happy for the couple and hope they stay together for a long time. At the same time, fans expect this information will not affect their careers.

Aside from Chaeyoung, fellow TWICE member Jihyo has been rumored to be dating Olympic Gold Medalist Yun Sung Bin. However, JYP Entertainment had difficulty confirming this one, stating, “ It is difficult to confirm as it is [the artist’s] personal matter.” 

Chaeyoung is one of the nine members of TWICE, along with Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Sana, Mina, Momo, Dahyun, and Tzuyu. They have been dubbed “The Nation’s Girl Group” by multiple sources and outlets for a long time. They debuted in 2015 with “Like OOH-AHH” and have worked tirelessly since then. Recently, they released their 13th mini-album, “With You-th” last February 2024, which included songs like the title track “ONE SPARK” and a pre-release single “I GOT YOU.”

They have also visited the Philippines a few times, such as last September 30 and October 1, 2023, for their Ready to Be Concert in Bulacan. Unfortunately, Chaeyoung was absent during this time, which saddened many fans. But they are set to return in June for their Oishi fanmeet which all members are set to participate in. 

Zion T., real name Kim Hae-Seol, is an artist who debuted in April 2011, collaborating with artists like Dok2, Crucial Star, Simon D, Primary and Gray. He released his first single, “Click Me,” featuring Dok2, around the same time. Since then, he has been producing for himself and others, releasing songs like “Credit,” “Tomorrow,” and “Sokodomo.” He also released a new album titled “Zip” in December 2023, sharing his personal stories.
