Island Gems: PH Shines with 2 Beaches on World’s Top List

THE PHILIPPINES, known for its pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, has once again captivated the world’s attention, featuring two of its beaches named in The World’s 50 Best Beaches for 2025.

In this year’s edition the two Philippine beaches that have secured a spot in the rankings were Entalula Beach in El Nido, Palawan, ranked 2nd, and Bon Bon Beach in Romblon, ranked 38th.

These recognitions not only emphasize the natural beauty of the country’s bodies of water, but also underscore the allure of its lesser-known coastal treasures, and why the tropical country is the best coastal destination.

A PH Specialty

The Philippines has long been recognized through its enormous limestone cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and white sand beaches, making it ideal for anyone seeking both retreat and adventure.

Rounding out the Top 10, aside from the PH beach, Italy’s Cala Goloritze took the first spot, followed by Thailand’s Bang Bao Beach in third, Greece’s Fteri Beach in fourth, and French Polynesia’s PK 9 Beach in fifth place.

The Dominican Republic’s Canto De La Playa finished sixth, followed by the Seychelles’ Anse Source D’Argent in seventh, Madagascar’s Nosy Iranja in eighth, American Samoa’s Ofu Beach in ninth, and Turks and Caicos’ Grace Bay in tenth.

Entalula Beach

Entalula Beach was described as “Palawan’s overlooked slice of heaven” on The World’s 50 Best Beaches website, citing its “amazing seclusion” and “dramatic backdrop to its white, sandy shores.”

“This beach is less frequented than others in the area, offering visitors a chance to escape the usual tourist spots and truly immerse themselves in nature,” the website described.

“The water is remarkably clear, providing excellent conditions for both swimming and snorkeling, where visitors can explore vibrant coral reefs just a short swim from the shore.”

“Accessible only by boat, Entalula adds an element of adventure and exclusivity to any visit. Its striking natural features and tranquil atmosphere make it a coveted spot for relaxation and appreciating nature,” it added.

Bon Bon Beach

Bon Bon Beach on Romblon Island offers a laid-back, untamed paradise. The awards committee praised the 38th-ranked beach for its “unique natural sandbar that stretches out to Bangug Island.”

“Visible during low tide, this sandbar allows visitors to walk across the shallow, clear waters to the neighboring island. The beach itself is undeveloped, preserving its serene and unspoiled charm,” it said.

“The sand is fine and white, while the water is incredibly clear, providing lovely swimming conditions without big waves.”

“As a lesser-known destination, Bon Bon Beach offers a quiet retreat compared to more tourist-heavy spots, so much so that often you could have this beach all to yourself,” described in the official website.

Now You Know

Together, these beaches highlight the country’s natural beauty and the charm of its lesser-known areas. These beaches, despite being secluded and untouched, will undoubtedly attract more visitors.

Entalula and Bon Bon both provide unique experiences that highlight the best of the Philippines’ coastal riches for those looking for unspoiled beaches off the beaten road.

In order to preserve the natural beauty of these beaches, visitors must be respectful and obedient to the locals, as well as maintain cleanliness. After all, the entire country will always be acknowledged.
