Hev Abi releases new MV, now at 232k views

GUESS what, QC girls? If you’ve been missing rapper Hev Abi, the rising artist just released a music video for his song “Alam Mo Ba Girl” on YouTube.

Posted on December 15, the song follows Hev Abi’s relationship with a girl. It starts with the two of them having fun in the girl’s room but she becomes visibly upset when another girl calls him. She sends him home soon after.

The song delves into Hev Abi’s feelings for the girl, wherein he is unsure if she feels the same way toward him.

Upon the song’s initial posting, it quickly garnered over 11 million streams on Spotify and 10 million on YouTube. As of writing, the music video directed by Tokseen has 232,915 views and counting.

One thing’s for sure when it comes to Hev Abi and his talents: in his journey, there’s nowhere to go but up.

Though he’s been in the music industry for quite some time, Hev Abi started making waves in the music industry with songs like “WELCOME2DTQ” and “Para Sa Streets,” which were quick to blow up on TikTok and other platforms.

Serving as his most streamed song, “WELCOME2DTQ” has over 28.9 million streams on Spotify while “Para Sa Streets” has over 22 million.

Given the quality of his songs, Hev Abi has been able to celebrate many successes in the past year, such as being included in Spotify’s Bago Sa Rap and Kalye Hip-Hop playlists, as well as performing at big events like Kalye X Manila with Gloc 9, Ramdiss, and Hero, or Good Old Days 3 with Kartell’em, O Side Mafia, and the Tus Brothers, among others.

In the past, the young artist has talked about being a self-produced artist who makes music because it’s something that he wants to do. He constantly wants to hear something new and loves creating songs based on what he’s listening to.

For “Kung Alam Mo Lang,” the song in which “Alam Mo Ba Girl” is featured in, Hev Abi said: “Yung mga nauna kong kanta, puro kakulitan ko lang, kung paano ko ipakita yung sarili ko sa tao. Sa album na ito, yung kabila naman.”

Since he started to boom at the start of 2023, it’s easy to say that Hev Abi has a long, fruitful career ahead, and fans can’t wait for what he has in store for the next year.
